He is expressing himself and letting Lilo know that while coming into the house, he had an open mind regarding getting involved. He spoke with a couple of people, evaluated age and vibe, and 'chose' lilo. However, he isn't comfortable knowing that Lilo has a man.

Eric says the fact that Lilo keeps talking about the guy makes it sound like a serious relationship. Lilo interrupts that she tries not to talk about her boyfriend.

She says Eric is not the type that goes for what he wants. Says Eric can have it at the back of his mind that she can leave her boyfriend for him or not but nothing is impossible. She quickly adds that she is not saying she will leave her boyfriend for him but if Eric is genuine, he can still pursue it.

Lilo's boyfriend is either an audio boyfriend or she's just being silly with her intentions tonight, i,e trying to get Eric to continue the chase if he genuinely likes her.

I dont think her BF is an audio one, I think he's real but Lilo is just a naive girl in love who doesn't know what she wants. She just want to eat her cake and have it.

As a guy I've seen many situations of a girl having a man but giving a guy all the necessary green light required, hoping the guy would give her enough convictions to leave her man and choose him.
