A strong Southern president like Tinubu will show the North pepper However zoning is not in favour of SW, so Orji Uzor may likely be the next president, he is not that strong though |

abduljabbar4:Just see them and their reasoning, i never mentioned oil... You cannot compare a southerner to a northerner in any aspect of human development... Better shut up if you dy blind to simple facts, Those countries are not just affected by slavery to the French , but affected by their low thinking capacity which is also exhibited by Northerners like you..... as una carry islam, poverty, child marriage, over population, banditry, every evil for head, make una chop am dy go.. Please dont quote me again, let us focus on the topic of the thread which i suggest you go back and read thoroughly... |

tysontim:Kalu would be a puppet, Tinubu a very good choice but untill the south starts wrestling some critical areas of the public sectors from the north, any southern leader would still be a slave to the north |

Amumaigwe:You have a point with the Muslim faction of Yoruba being an achilles heel but i think when its time, the Yoruba nation will act in one accord, their peaceful unity is beautiful to see |

Minsk24:I dare you to mention two southern states that can survive oil. Just 2! Human development my ass. They only thing 'development ' means is cultism, one million boys, drug pushing, baby factories, 419 and counterfeiting. I don't blame your ignorance. There is hardly any way those countries can develop under their arrangements with France and you should thank God that Buhari dodged their bullet in January when we refused to adopt the ECO. You need to go and educate yourself brother |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by Minsk24(op): 9:51am On Jul 25, 2020 |
abduljabbar4:Lol, just look at this one... We in the south are surviving.... The private sector is alive and living up to the challenge... Our people are going to school and traveling the world... While your people travel in trucks to do menial jobs shame, you can never see them add any value to their area.. School they wont go, assimilate with your host for peaceful coexistence they wont.. Please carry your bizzy body comot here. I'm not here talk about the countries in the sahel.. You northerners cant compare with the southerners in any aspect of wisdom and intelligence... Should we even be having this discussion? Who make up the bulk of illetrate and criminal folks in Nigeria? Answer that question silently and keep quiet |

Minsk24:I need statistics, not stupid claims. The north has millions of private sectors and FDIs. In fact Kaduna just over took Lagos as the state with the highest FDIs. Mention thr state that can survive oil please. I don't need your rants ![]() What are you people doing when you travel? Nigerians are known as fraudsters and drug traffickers because of your traveling brothers. A menial worker is far better than a yahoo boy (the occupation of 90% of the southern youths). We are far better with far more moral standards. Your region is the headquarters of skull miners (apologies to my Yoruba friends), cultists, militants, POITICAL LOOTERS, 419, prostitution, drug trafficking, baby factories, serial killers, domestic abusers one million boys and and counterfeiting. The north has it's troubling problems, but the south has no moral right to criticize us when they are known for the crimes above BTW I'm still waiting for you to mention the states that have enough IGR to pay all of her recurrent expenditure in the south without proceeds from crude oil . You can't tell me that you 'human developments' don't produce enough fund your salaries. Not everyone is dumb bro. You are just as "useless" as the north. Instead of us to treat it collectively as a national issue, you want to point fingers at the north for the same crimes that you are guilty of. |

Mysticwebb:Is the North itself united? Boko Haram today ,Killer Bandits everywhere tomorrow ,Middlebelt vs Core North, Christian Persecution anyhow , IDP Refugees everywhere , Killer Herdsmen and Kidnappers , the North is almost like a War Zone. |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by kingzizzy: 12:08pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
Minsk24:True, but we will never unite. Nothing will make us Igbos ever unite with Yorubas for any reason |

sulaak:So in your estimation, the only way there can be southern unity of purpose is if Ndigbo forgo insisting it’s their turn in 2023 because a Yoruba will never support such a bid!? So much for ‘southern unity’! ![]() |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by Guestlander: 1:48pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
Uchek:You asked a good question. When Ironsi was killed, the northern soldiers who carried out the coup were shouting "araba" or something to that effect which means separation in hausa language. At this point I believe they didn't know how Ibos and Yoruba would react to the murder of Ironsi and Fajuyi. The British embassy had a meeting with the coup plotters and told them separation will be a big mistake, the rest is history. |

ahiboilandgas:The problem of this country is definitely the north, in leadership you guys brought mediocrity and sectionalism into the affairs of this nation. Babangida and sanni abacha were the father of corruption both are northerners, Illiteracy and poverty, extremism/fanatism. |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by Daddysidhan: 2:17pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
abduljabbar4:This is not an achievement that will last for long, it's an artificial development and it will vanish after the buharis one sided administration. Even the UN once said all its programs for Nigeria was concentrated in the north because the buhari presidency ordered it. Any advantage the north might have over the south is due to injustice and politically motivated if each region were given a free hand to move at its own pace" the north will move like snail because of its many unsolvable problem. Abi which investor will establish its business in a region of bandit and religious extremist. Upon all the political advantage of the north for the past 55 years can you tell me the advantage it has over the south? Educationally, health, standard of living, poverty rate apart from the road infrastructure the north is a potential NIGER REPUBLIC. |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by ChimaAdeoye: 2:21pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
Minsk24:Northern Nigeria cannot even stop a rebellion in Ibibio land without massive assistance from the international community, talkmore an entire region or the south. What is keeping Nigeria together is fear of the unknown. Nobody can be sure that new independent countries such as Oduduwa or Biafra will not be plagued by the same demons of corrupt politicians, tribalism and nepotism as we have seen in Nigeria. So people want to be sure before making their move and deciding if its indeed better to break away. |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by sulaak(m): 5:09pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
PROUDIGBO:I have never come across a political strategy based on it's our time to rule. Yoruba's and Igbo's elites will never agree to support one of the other candidate, so the best alternative is to back a South South candidate that will support both regions interest, one of them being restructuring. |

kooler99:South east and south west don't hate each other. it's Ego that is disturbing both of us. Messi and Ronaldo don't hate each other Davido and Wizkid don't hate each other. It's ego that is disturbing us, none of the region wants to bow for the other region. But they both hate the north . |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by Minsk24(op): 8:49pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
abduljabbar4:Lol... You are very delusional... Kaduna topping Lagos with FDI and so what about it? Does the make up for the vast amount of non-productive states in the north? Look at this ungrateful chap, that you can go to school and have basic amenities is as the result of the oil wealth in the south... Are you foolish or blind that you can't see that money from the south has bn used to fund your backward region to the level you are now.. Imagine a northerner that managed to speak English coming to blast The south... Nigerians are doing very well all over the world and 90% are from the south.. Nigerians Abroad remit billions of dollars back home annually... Yes we have fraudsters, but its better to have fraudsters than terrorists and illetrates.. You are very big fool to list the criminalities of the south while your people are engaging in genocide against the the minorities in the north... Imagine how stupid u make yourself look with your comments... All the issues dragging Nigeria backwards is coming from the north.. Imagine talking about southern states and the issues plaguing it when your northern illetrates running the country have refused to let us run a true federal system because if we do... People like you will be on the streets begging... I feel so ashamed ranting with a northerner coz una no get sense at all, you talk about moral Standards.. Who dat one epp? You shroud your evil under the guise of Islam and come here to talk about morals... Your people are busy talking about sharia law in the year 2020 when everyone is thinking forward... What kinda sense is that... I ve warned you to stop quoting me coz this topic is for southerners and one day we go wrestle This country from you guys, if una like, keep looting and carrying islam for head... We southerners are far gone... We no dy una level.. Even in the worst state in the south, the average middle class man is ten times more comfortable and more ambitious.. What do u even have to brag about that we don't have even more... Please you can see that your reasoning is abstract, shut up and let educated southerners talk.. Chai i feel so dirty ranting with a northerner, i ve lived in the north and seen so many crisis, f*ck y'all, people without value for life in the name of religion... Why is northern Nigeria and your people afraid of restructuring? If you don't answer this question then go and sit down and let sensible people talk.. Imagine nonsense |
| Re: Can Northern Nigeria Quell A United Southern Rebellion? by Minsk24(op): 8:52pm On Jul 25, 2020 |
Seerade029:Exactly bro... Igbo and Yoruba animosity is mostly online... We have similar values and its hard to understand why we can't work together... Mehn.. Yorubas we love you and we need you coz you guys are the hope of this country... Whenever Yorubas say enough is enough, that's when the show will begin... Hopefully the minorities in the north will rise up as well |
