Barring any last minute change of plans, Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano is set to dump the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) for the All Progressives Congress(APC)

Arrangements are in top gear for his defection billed for August.

Modalities being worked out for Governor Obiano's defection include his request for the party structure in the state to be handed over to him, a request that was turned down.

The Governor is expected to summon a meeting of House of Assembly members elected under the platform of APGA, commissioners as well as Local Government Transition Chairmen to intimate them of his move.

That will surely be the end of his political carrier just look at how apc rubbished the carriers of many prominet politicians like akpabio, chime, etc who defected to the apc.

Federal Government's protection after office. What's the end of Orji Kalu's EFCC case?? etc. The rulling class don't have Political parties. What they understand is POWER and Protection.

The order has been given by the Apex Igbo leader in Lagos, Hon Idimogu, instructing SE Govs to shape up for APC.

This is part reason no SE Gov showed up in Edo to support Obaseki.


When Lagos speaks, SE obeys!

I don't believe this news but our politicians can do anything for there personal interest...but is hard for Apc to make way in Anambra state so i don't see reasons why u should do it

SE is realizing without govt in center, presidency will b elusive, the more the merrier, the hand writing is on the wall, APC will form 2023 govt, that's y u see people hustling to join the moving train, is only Igbos that are making noises on SM, core igbo politicians knows where their bread are buttered

If Obiano dumps apga for apc, I won't be surprised. The biggest concern Anambra people missed is when APC took the second position in the last governorship election while PDP was third.
Obiano has his eyes set on the Senate where he can retire and drink like he always wanted

it's funny how you guys allow sentiment to becloud your reasoning. This is politics and what few okada and low income earners in Anambra State thinks of a political party is insignificant. On the day of election, they will sell their votes and go back supporting Biafra

I am speaking the mind of the people. Any politician that decamps to APC is not regarded as a leader. And does not have the best interest for the people of Anambra and the old Eastern region.

It is not the first time such position have been taken, so am not surprised APC came second but that is as far as they get in Anambra State.

You can say I am speaking out of hatred or pain, because to you the old Eastern region do not exist but to us it very much do. And our hearts and minds are on it.

I am only trying to tell you guys were we stand. We can very much play Nigerian politics but while playing such politics do not campaign under APC.

You say Arthur no sabi but he sponsored an APC candidate to the last general election without Federal might and got the second position while PDP took third. You guys will be looking at facts but will choose to ignore it to feed your emotions and hate for a party
