In light of the current stand off between google and huawei, is it advisable for me to buy any of the huawei phones.
If not, what are the consequences please?

Not an entirely good choice for all users.

If you're are not heavily dependent on Google play services, i.e Play Store, Gmail, Maps etc, then you can get a Huawei device. Point to note that even if you sideload those services some apps may not work or won't work properly.

Huawei devices released after the US ban can't use Google services. Devices like the P40 series, Mate 30 series, Honor 30 series or generally new Huawei devices launched from Q2 last year till now.

Some older devices that are rebadged still come with Google services though.

The Y7 Prime 2019 ships with Android 8.1 and it's pre-ban era so you'll have Google Play services.

I am using Huawei y6 prime 2019 and it comes fully equipped with Google play. I just bought it last week and I didn't sideload any Google apps. All Google apps came pre-installed.

With the exception of the "P" and "mate" series, I honestly don't find Huawei phones that appealing anymore. Not to mention their Kirin chipset it always seems to lag behind when compared to other flagship chips.

Huawei is very good phone,I made a mistake for buying tecno.have used both before and I can testify that huawei is good product

First of all, know that you are been spied on if you use Huawei phone and disadvantage is that it doesn't support Google play services-that means Google apps won't work

Forget say US wan frustrate dem bt Huawei remains a giant in the phone industry. I would say they r ahead of Samsung sef.there 2018 flagship phone Mate 20 pro(best camera phone that year n counting) can be compared wit the new iPhone 11.
