The thing is Chelsea fans are not used to this kind of arrangement of having Academy graduate playing an integral role in the first team, it's alien to them, that is why they are making a big deal out of the whole thing. No wonder a guy called Odoi could scam them by collecting huge salary just because he played well in few matches last season.

Man utd on the other hand have made it a tradition up to the extent that most people in the club now see it as normal.
