Mr. Dennis was looking for a car to buy, and contacted me to help him run a VIN-CHECK, the first one he sent to me was really bad, it had a high mileage(Car could have stressed him if he had failed to run a VIN-CHECK).

Moving forward we checked another VIN which came out well, tho it had minimal damage, but with the report, we could make our final decision.

My Question is: What Could Have happened if he failed to Check his VIN?

Good evening, A ViN contains history of the car, if it has been accidented, flooded or stolen.

A ViN comprises of 17 numbers e.g: JTHBA30G055082891, and can be found in the dashboard of your car, and the driver door side when it is open.

So can you explain with sample a good and bad report of a car and what's the duration of getting the report, you know one can be so confused by sugar coated car sellers

Good evening, it depends on some key facts.

1. mileage of the car, if a car mileage is more than 200k miles, it's off for me.

2. Major Accident history

3: Flooded vehicle.

Nigerian car dealers buy their cars from major sites like Copart, IAAI, Auctionexport, and other sites. These sites are filled with cars that are damaged, flooded, and overdriven selling for a cheap price.
They import it and give to local mechanics to arrange, and sell for high price.

The problem is not fixing it, but most times the accident affects the chassis of the car and other vital parts of the car, finally, the mechanics do not do a clean job.
