The move by Godwin Obaseki to decamp to PDP and get the Godfather Former APC Chairman Adams Oshiomole Sacked further provoked Ambode's followers who was infuriated that he missed out in the List of Ministers Last year and were hoping that he would be the right person to fill the shoes of The late senator Oshinowo

The ruling political party in Lagos State, All Progressives Congress (APC), has finally decided on the succession battle for the Lagos East Senatorial seat that greeted the aftermath of the death of the last occupier, Senator Bayo Osinowo a.k.a. Mr. Dele Alake, a former commissioner for Information and Strategy in the government of then Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State, has reportedly been picked to replace Osinowo at a party stakeholders meeting which held within the week.

Elections are NOT won either by bravery or cowardice but by political structures.

You need to be sponsored by strong political structures of a party that enjoy popularity among the electorates. If you can't inspire love and confidence of the party, it will be difficult to get their ticket.


The alternative is for Ambode or any other politician to test his/her popularity on another platform e.g PDP, Labour Party, APGA etc.

However, these other alternative parties don't have strong political structures in Lagos politics and have reduced chances of winning.

They would have consider Ambode for the ticket. Did I hear the former commissioner serve in the house for 16yrs? Hmmm
