This is only a half truth. After influencing the contracts to come to your constituency, why don't you also tell us the truth that the company that will execute the project is also handpicked by you and then you receive at least 20% kick back of the total contract sum?

Why don't you tell us that some senators (and many politicians) own companies but uses their relative's name as the business owner and keep awarding them the contracts?
