It quite happened to me few weeks ago, until i realized it wasn't a scam, I sent an apology mail and requested for a rescheduling, luckily for me, after everything i got the job, to resume August...Thank you Jesus

Not really. Only an irresponsible employer would terminate a prospect just because the recipient was being security conscious.

But irrespective of who is calling one should pick calls. The OP's reply was completely off, what's the truecaller app for.

Different perspective perhaps. But I don't find his reply any far from normal. I mean, regardless of what name appears on Truecaller, receiving a call from someone asking for your BVN should raise a red flag. Your bank would never call you requesting for such. And I hope you know names appearing on Truecaller can be doctored? Not everyone use the app though; I don't.

Don't know that Truecaller can be doctored. I won't give a stranger my bvn number. Thanks for enlightening me. Goodnight

It was a scammer. You busted his scam that was why he dropped the call. He just told you that CV job line to make you feel bad - It's called reverse psychology.
A real recruiter won't take offence especially one from a bank knowing the infestation of scammers in the financial sector today.
