I agree that there are stereotypes for polished people, but looks rarely occur. Rather, attitude takes all the credit.

No one will call you polished for looks. You are more likely to be called polished for having read all of Shakespeare's plays. You are very much likely to be regarded as polished if you open the car door for your woman or you stand up for a woman to take your seat in a molue.
