US President Donald Trump has said he will be taking action on Saturday (today) to ban TikTok, a Chinese-owned video app from the United States.

Furthermore, President Trump made the statement to journalists on Friday at the Air Force One Base after he came back from Florida.

In his words, Trump said;

“As far as TikTok is concerned, we’re banning them from the United States,”

Before now, lawmakers in the US have raised privacy and intelligence concerns about TikTok's ownership.

Although, the company denied the allegations citing it doesn't share user data with his government.

Trump is making this move as tension has been drummed between these countries since the coronavirus pandemic.

The company’s activities in the US have been under study by the secretive Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.

Furthermore, Trump insisted he had the power to ban the company from the US by making use of the executive order or his economic powers.

In his words, he said;

“I have that authority.”

Trump's threatening to ban Tic Tok, like if there's ever a more pressing issue for a World Leader.

Trump is still pained that the K-Pop and Tic Tok kids made a giant fool of his Tulsa death rally.

On a serious note, China too have censored a number of social media they feel undermie their sovereignty, so it will be nice thing to do by Trump to ban TicTok in the U.S.
