Here's another one: Chelsea join the race for Real Madrid's Sergio Reguilion

Ibime, Airmark, Unlimited22, BlueAngel444 and others, what do y'all think about this?

I haven't really watched much of him, but I remember one time last season when Marcelo was having a torrid run, people were really praising this guy.

Ibime:
C'mon bro. Playing centreback is the least physically taxing position on the pitch. You don't lose speed when you've been injured, what you lose is stamina.

You don't need much stamina to play centreback cos you get a lot of recovery time between attacks. Lesley King used to play centreback for 10 years without training all week. He would swim a couple of times in the week and play on weekend cos he had no cartilage in his knee. John Terry played the last decade of his career with back problems. You could never play midfield of fullback with these sort of problems.
If you don't follow your post-operation instructions well, you will lose speed after recovering from ACL.

Not getting exposed, depends on the formation deployed at the back

We deployed 3 men at the back and Arsenal kept on using swift counter, targeting the space in our back line. You must be mentally and physically ready for that. I guess Lampard being closer to the players more than me and you, knew who was more ready for such.

Match rustiness can happen to any player, be it a defender or a Striker. The Tomori i saw in training was not ready and Lampard must have seen that too.

It's not about stamina alone, mental readiness is vital so as to make swift and proper decision. The last match he played for us, he was a shadow of his old self and a repetition of that couldn't be relied on in a keenly-contested final.

He wasn't ready.

He had a very good season on loan at Sevilla and was even named in some sports papers teams of the season. But Real have already sold Hakimi, and Marcelo is nearing the end of his rope. I doubt they would like to keep Ferland Mendy alone as a top LB.

If we can get him on loan, while allowing Maatsen and Castillo to develop, it would be wonderful as that would free up funds to be used elsewhere.

Tired of all these rumours o.

Reguilion has improved but a NO for me. I am not sure of him playing without getting injured in a physical Epl with his style.

As in.....While the action was going on in midfield and the ball was being moved into Chelsea's half he was just jogging till the ball got into the box. Even when he realize the defenders have been exposed instead of tackling he ended up confusing zouma.

But Zouma was flat footed. He was easily dribbled.

Tomori did not have ACL. He just had a small muscle injury that kept him out for 3 weeks.

How did you determine he's lost pace from this gif? cheesy
