Are you sure there's no sludge in the engine blocking solinoid that controls the variable timing?

Seems like variable timing is not working well...
Clear codes and scan again when check light comes back up.

Good evening folks, my Acura TSX 2009 has series of christmas lights on its dash and it needs to disappear. Some of them are "check emission system", "check VSA system" etc. I scanned it and got some results which are P0341:00, 83-1, 61-1, i have attached the pictures

There are several possibilities.


First the cam sensor is not bad, so don't bother replacing it.




This was why the car was sold in the first place. The cost of labour outweighs the cost of the car (in the western world)

* The timing chain might be slack and skipped causing this error.

* You might have excessive play on the intake can shaft ( Variable gear issues)

* Engine might be filled with sludge causing the timing to be stuck in advanced or r3tarded settings.

You will definitely need to open the top of the engine minimum to observe and borrow down culprit .
