Those that have uploaded result before, I mean those that have done GCE in the past and then uploaded it because they thought they won't be able to pick awaiting result. What will happen to them now? Because my sister is among those that will start waec on the 17th of this month and she uploaded her past result because of fear they won't be admitted since waec won't be ready. And the result ain't that excellent, it is mostly filled with "C" and I am sure the WAEC she wanna do now, she is gonna ace her papers at least "B's" and "A's"

Will they be allowed to remove their old result and pick awaiting result?
Why bother, it's not like your SSCE has any effect on your chances as long as you credited all your core subjects.
All As and all Cs; same thing.
I remember in 2016 when JAMB scrapped post ume, and replaced it with a screening,by grading your performance in SSCE.
It held for just that year and universities basically kicked it to the dust, insisting on post ume.
Schools know the bullshit most students do to get those fake As in SSCE.

When WEAC release the results, then she should take it to a Center (not cyber cafe) to upload the new results. There is no problem anywhere.

What's wrong with Cs in waec, that's OK naw, unless she wants to do another course that requires As and Bs

They are school she applied for, they don't do post utme. What they do is screening. They will calculate your result and your jamb result to get 100.

So the better your waec and jamb result, the higher your score..

That's why

Actually, some schools still make use of that 2016 model.

So, if the school she is applying for is using that model then she needs good grades in her O'level result

Yeah, the school she is applying for uses such grading system.

I was surprised when she showed me a chat on the school group for freshers

A lady scored less than 200 in jamb, but after adding the lady's waec, her total score skyrocket to 65% out of 100. Meaning the girl's waec result was excellent.

In most cases they don't need to tell you her result was gotten from a special center and she did not do it herself. Because her waec result is GCE and we all know most GCE centers have been bastardise by runs and expo

No worries bro, just tell your sister to work hard for the upcoming waec.

Wish her the best!

Oh FUOYE, that's right, my brother goes there.
You just have to go your states jamb office and ask if correction of data is still ongoing.

How do you know they consider O'level when they all conduct post ume.
Are you particularly sure about a breakdown of percentage preference given to O'level and post ume?

Yes...

The percentage of each exam in the aggregate score is always made public by each of the schools

OAU for example,
Utme exams 50%
Post utme 40%
O'level result 10%

For UNILAG it is,
Utme 50%
Post utme 30%
O'level 20%

For schools like AAU that doesn't conduct post utme exams at all the ratio of utme score to O'level result in the aggregate score is either 50:50 or 60:40 depending on the school.

Schools like UI, UNIBEN, UNIPORT, UNN, UNIZIK doesn't consider O'level results.

That's why it is important for each candidate to research well on the school they are applying for.

I'm not getting this gist. Jamb doesn't have any business with post utme.
Are they trying to say they'll take this year's post utme in their hands and conduct it themselves rather than the school?

Someone explain to me

Wow, well I'm at UNN and I know UI and UNIZIK too well cause I considered both of them during my admission hunt.
So I just assumed all top Unis have the same process.
Nice info.
