My problem with Hypocrites, is that where see White they will find all means to paint it black, so they have a cause to run their mouth..

This is for those people who have deliberately chosen to deny the fact that Obaseki has massively attracted Investments and Developments to Edo state.

This is the same Ossiomo power plant, the MOU project which the opposition said was never in existence.

You need to know that Obaseki is operating a 100% people centric Government.

No be everybody dey make noise about their accomplishments.

Let that sink in..

Edo people have a choice to choose who they want. Though to me a governor that wins through the help of the masses won't forget the masses in a hurry than the one who wins through federal might

Show me a Government that has so far been more people centric as the Obaseki led government.

A government that:

1. Pays salaries to workers on the 26th of every month.

2. Pensioners start receiving their pensions immediately after their retirements.

3. Provided the best means of Education our children.

4. Teachers get the best training.

5. Partnering with Local Governments to Deliver Quality Service

6. Actively supporting and sustaining the autonomy
of the third tier of government.

7. Support with the prompt payment of wages

8. Continuous capacity development and trainings
leading to more positive outcomes

9. Support with Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)
that is now collected using technology app.

Show me a more people centric Government...

Ize-Iyamu will take Edo back to Igbinedion’s era – Oshiomhole
September 18, 2016

The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticised a former Governor of the state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, for saying Oshomhole’s successor will emerge from the Peoples Democratic Party.

Igbinedion, who was governed the state between 1999 and 2007, had recently said that the next governor would not only emerge from his political family but that the party would win by a wide margin.

But Oshiomhole told journalists at the 84th birthday celebration of a former Governor of the Midwestern region, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia on Saturday that the state would not return to the ‎”dark era” of the opposition party.

The governor said that the task for residents of state on September 28, the day of the governorship poll, was to choose whether they wanted the house of Igbinedion, as allegedly represented by Pastor Ize-Iyamu, or they wanted to sustain the breakaway.

‎He explained, “The people have a clear choice to make. You want Igbinedion era back because Ize-Iyamu has been straight forward on it that they want to change this change to the Igbinedion era. Lucky has confirmed that one of their own would be used to reverse the clock back.”

He added, “Edo cannot return to the house of the Igbinedions… They want to use tax payers’ money to celebrate a man who has never served Edo State. ‎”

He called on people to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, in order to move the state forward.

“Edo people have seen the light. They cannot go back to the dark era which the Igbinedion house represents. They will consolidate the present gain and raise it to a higher level by voting for Godwin Obaski, who is not and will never be part of the Igbinedions,” he said.

You say the Obaseki Government did not do anything yet you are no longer plagued by land grabbers, you can conveniently sleep with two eyes closed, without the fear of losing your land asset.

A governor that :

1.Established Edo Geographic
Information Service.

2. Abolished CDA's via legislation

3. Inaugurated the task-force on private property protec-
tion (under the leadership of former Inspector General
of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase to protect property
owners)

4. Established Edo GIS- a
one-stop shop for all land
matters in Edo State.

5. Enumerated all properties
and created a data-bank of
ownership.

6. Slashed processing costs by
more than 50%

7. Edo GIS is optimized to
offer online services follow-
ing its automation.

Obaseki is fighting for himself and his cronies only.

He is an ungrateful person who has not only betrayed the trust of all those who worked for him to emerge as governor but has also failed woefully to replicate the achievements of his predecessor, Oshiomole.

Judging by information available in the public domain, Obaseki is tyrannical and suppresses the will of majority...

If you disagree, then tell me what manner of person will swear in 7 out of 24 lawmakers in a state just because the other 17 are not aligned with his interest?

Is democracy not the rule of majority?

I repeat, Obaseki is a tyrant and a threat to true democracy anywhere...

I understand he has employed many people to sway opinion on Nairaland and has even started paying for adverts on Nairaland.

Unfortunately, majority of Edo voters are not on Nairaland and they're going to vote against him for failing to live up to expectation come September 19th.

Few wise Edo people that are here will continue to tell the world the truth. Obaseki is not fit to govern Edo state.

Edo needs a progressive governor that will surpass Oshiomole's achievement... Not one that will win election and start focusing on building political structure to perpetuate their stay in power when they loot state resources and fail to deliver projects for the state.

Are you in Orile or Oshodi?
Those minority who fought for him did so in the interest of the majority of the EDO PEOPLE. He was not voted to favor only those who fought for him. That is not governance. Would you want him to allign with Buhari's 97 and 5% remark?
Good governance favours the majority and not minority.

Obaseki has worked Tremendously in Tax administration,
Collecting & Efficiently Managing the People's Contribution to development.

1. Enacted legislation to
STOP arbitrary and illegal
tax collection.

2. Harmonized state laws
on taxes and revenue
collection.

3. Eliminated the harassment
of market women for taxes.

4. Established the Edo
Revenue Administration
System (ERAS) to optimize
taxpayer data and reduce
leakages.

5. Enumerated all businesses
to get accurate tax data.

Yet you say he does not deserve a second Tenure

Edo people have Decided and we will strongly see to it that Obaseki comes out successfull at the polls come september 19th.

Yet it did not stop the ever productive Governor Godwin Obaseki from completing the Edo state Modular Refinery whic is in it final stages.

In fact I will state this fact again there has never been an innovative Gover in edo state like Governor Godwin Obaseki.

What we need in Edo state is continuity of good works of the incumbent governor if only we could use our heads. We shouldn't let our allegiance be only for our parties but the ones we look up to in the party.
Don't let us be deceived...
Let 19-9-2020 speaks of our future...
Vote wisely...
