The campaign of the candidate of the All Progressives Con­gress in the Edo Governorship election, Pastor Osagie Ize- Iyamu, got off on a bright start on Monday in Esan Land, Edo Central Senatorial district, as the local organizing officials struggled with the large crowds that thronged the campaign ven­ues to enforce health regulatory guidelines.

It was a sea of heads at Igue­ben, Ubiaja and Uromi, the ad­ministrative headquarters of Ig­ueben, Esan Southeast, and Esan Northeast local government councils respectively where the candidatesoldhisSIMPLEagen­da manifesto, highlighting spe­cific plans to attract investments and development to Edo Central Senatorial District.

At Igueben, after receiving royal blessings from the tradi­tional rulers of Edo Central who gatheredatthepalaceof theOno­jie of the Igueben kingdom, HRH Ehizojie Eiluojerio I, Pastor Osa­gie Ize-Iyamu shared copies of his SIMPLE manifesto pointing out that he intended to partner with traditional institutions in the state to tackle the problems of insecurity, policy misalign­ment between the government and the people, and promotion of beneficial cultural values and traditions.

He exposed the fallacy of Gov­ernor Godwin Obaseki’s ‘Esan Agenda’promise, describing it as a contrived falsehood to earnpity votes, adding that the people of Esan land have been overlooked on numerous occasions in the last four years in office.
