Lagos before the discovery of oil, hmmm. Lagos, the Oduduwa Commonwealth, but some people east side of the south would never stop running their filthy mouths about their involvement in the Development of this great city.. enough of this shalaye. Nonetheless ; Ruudvannisteroy, Nigeria is still the giant of Africa.

RuudVanNisteroy:....simply because it wasn't overpopulated not that the leaders then had more sophisticated brain. |

heykims:Lagos was not the only city that was overpopulated...it had decades to provide tranportation such as a subway,or inter city rail to cope with the overpopulation. And should have enforced town planning.

This Op and his sick obsession with Lagos. Hello, Lagos is not the only state in Nigeria. It stopped being capital almost 30 years ago and has been fending for itself like every other state ever since. Infact it is arguably better governed than any other state in Nigeria which is why thousands of people from all over keep flooding the state daily. Op is obviously not from the SW yet he neglected his own state which he will certainly refuse to reveal, and chose to obsess over how Lagos is being governed. Guy, you seriously need to get a life. If you are on a crusade for good governance go and start with your Igbo states and quit obsessing over Lagos. |

LukasPodolski:We are not longer the giants and the only countries developing are Rwanda,Botswana,Namibia and South Africa. The leaders of these countries attend to their health in the hospitals they built and their children go to the universities they established. |

donbachi:Due to corruption encouraged by the military elite. Schools and designated market places were turned to residential or commercial centres as they so desired. |

AlabiJ:Lagos is a no man's land. Federal resources were used to develop Lagos as you can see. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Lagos is a 'nomandland' only in the delusional mind of the landgrabbing igbos. That is the same trait that leads to the general resentment you guys attract everywhere you go. But that's fine because water will always find its level no matter what. If Lagos had been allowed to die and allowed to fall into ruin after the FCT was moved, una no go dey claim am, because you people only like being associated with good things. If Lagos was so terrible, you and your fellow ipobs won't be flooding the state for sustenance via night bus so continue with your foolishness. |

Imagine the sanity. That was before Tinubu took over and revenue meant for development are now carted away in bullion vans |

RuudVanNisteroy:And which other city is overpopulated as Lagos in Nigeria while also considering the land mass? About the transportation part, it isn't solely in the hands of the state govt, I'm sure that would have been achieved if the regionalism type of govt then wasn't changed to the crap style we practice now. |

RuudVanNisteroy:Rwanda is a very poor country, haven't been there, but seen some videos on YouTube. Trust me, the country is just finding her bearing after the civil war. Nigeria might not be livable due to the huge population, but we are the Giant of Africa. Rwanda, Namibia, Botswana seriously ![]() ![]() |
