Professor Theophilus Omotunde Soyombo, who was appointed the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, on Wednesday by the Governing Council of the university, has said he has resumed duties.

Speaking in a telephone conversation, the Professor of Sociology, said he resumed office because the letter of appointment given him by the Council notified him to do so with immediate effect.

Only a stupid person like Wale Babalakin, removes a V.C first and then come out two days later to say "the same V.C must be INVESTIGATED"!
You investigate first, conclude and issue a report based on your investigation, before removing the V.C

As for Soyombo, he better not allow him to be a cannon foder, to be used by Babalakin.
If it is not yet your time to be V.C and you want to usurp the role of Ogundipe, you will end up disgracing yourself.
Proff. Ogundipe remains the V.C of Unilag. End of story.

It is sad to see that no Akokite is saying something meaningful here ooh.

I still remember when NASU went on strike, this man came to the hostels;
1) to make peace the student about light and water issue,

2)extended the duration of the session,

3) allowed non-bonafide students to stay in hostels,

4)gave you guys uninterrupted wifi access to read in hostels and faculties, some places like car-parks that guys abuse,

5)repaired your street light, fumigated your hostels,

6)came to your to your hostels to see how you guys were doing, even gave cash to help some students, travelled out to bring scholarships and investors to the school etc., (This is the only one I can remember ooh)

What some of our Former VC's could not do or did lackadaisical n 4-years tenure, and YOU GUYS ARE NOT COMING OUT TO SPEAK...

And know he is a good man


At least far better than the former vice chancellor from what I hear

In our respective alumni groups
The discussions are going on there

And what is being revealed is damming

Babalakin has made a mistake
And this will not end well.

As for Soyombo....
All I'll say is....
I'm sorry for him
How will you preside over a Senate that is against you and still sympathetic to the other VC?

If I were him
I would rather not take that position

Don't worry just wait maybe they will comply or not... The governing council decision supercede every other personal and selfish interest... Just watch before next week end there would be filtration and compliance... �

Did u read the post at all? How is it illegal to remove someone that used 49million to renovate quarters and approved 40million for the bursar too... They even sent a sum of 25million to the registrar's account which he declined... All these evidences are there. See they are only pushing him... He is gone as far as Unilag is concerned... Don't let anyone deceive u. They are ASUU members that enjoyed in the looting

Everyday I just thank God for the kind of heritage I have. They saw all and did all to the very top levels of goverment and private sector in some of the most tempting positions yet till forever no one can lay a single accusation. Not one question, query or skeleton.

What is this young man doing renovating his crib for 40 odd million for in this present economy. Is he going to die there. Is that the gateway to heaven?
