A 32-year-old man identified as Ahmad Aliyu, has been rescued by the Kano State Police Command after being locked inside a room for seven years.

Aliyu's father and stepmother had locked him up in a room for seven years prior to his rescue by the police.

He was rescued at Farawa Babban Layi, in Mariri quarters of Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano state metropolis.

How can a 25yrs old man be sentence to 7yrs in prison by his own father and step mother?

They should be locked up too for 7yrs. After all, there is a regular saying in the north that if someone does something bad to you, do that exact same thing to the person. Don't add and don't subtract. If he enjoys it... But if it pains him, he'll know how bad what he did was.

If this saying and its origin is true, then it could stand as one of the reasons why most northerners are wicked.
