What kind of mechanics practical are we expecting this year 2020....its a little unclear.... Is it simple harmonic motion or equilibrium.

More light pls. Double retort stand was used for the 2009. Could be similar this year

Nope I think only one retort stand will be used...then the metre rule will be tied to it's clamp using a thread while the masses will be suspended on the metre rule too

no just a single retort stand will do, but make sure you have plasticine available to balance the metre rule

For me I don't think we can be very sure of the set up until we see the question on the exam day...the question will come with a circuit diagram which the students will follow to set up the experiment....so for now just practice how to set up different circuit diagrams from pat questions
