What's wrong with deploying them secretly so they can quietly round up the killers without preinforming them?
You want to strike then you first start by informing your enemy(ies) so they can retreat and go into hiding.

What took them so long?

These special forces are deployed to protect Fulani herdsmen and give them cover whenever they decide to go on a killing spree.

If you're old enough, you will know the insecurity problem in Kaduna or any part of Nigeria for that matter is beyond brute force. Historically, this is the same approach we've been taking for decades and it's not yielding any result.

Special forces require special weaponry, ammunitions, gear, welfare and all that. Let us shun mediocrity, use our money in the most important things, not wasting it by hiding it abroad, and buying real estates abroad, this has no benefit to Nigeria and our economy whatsoever. Excellence is the way we can grow as a people. We must face reality, as we have seen, even the elites are now victims, let us be real to ourselves.
