Magnetic cable does very little to prolong the lifespan of ur charging port. The whole principle of the magnetic cable is flawed bcoz u have to leave the nub stuck to ur charging port. As u make use of the phone daily, the magnetic charger nub attached to ur charging port will be making contact with various objects which will send shock waves to the charging pins like regular charger does. (BY SHOCK WAVES I MEAN ANY FORCE THAT CAN MAKE UR CHARGING PINS LOOSE CONTACT WITH THE BOARD/CIRCUIT)

The surest way to protect ur charging port is to ensure u don't use d phone while charging it. I know it is difficult, but it's the only way.

My Nokia 6.1 plus global version is now officially a year and 2 days old.

This device has performed optimally for the past 12 months.

The phone is so fast and responsive; all thanks to the 6gb ram.

Not to mention the steady OTA updates of both the OS and security patches.

The charging port did however became slightly loosened and shaky. All I did was pad it a little with paper and boom good as new. Still charges fast at a 70% fast charge rate.

Nokia sure makes durable devices.

Buy magnetic cord, plug the cord's magnetic head in your phone's port and leave it in there, and watch it

I'm planning on fixing my port too o, and glue my magnetic cord's head to it. Let me see how it will go bad again. Though the phone repairer i met told me that it goes loose because of the in and out of our normal cords. It needs to be soldered back to the phone's board.
