There is wide fears in Bamako, the capital city of Mali, as residents are in panic mood as reports seems to indicate that President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita has been allegedly arrested and detained after several gunshots were heard at an army base in Kati, which is 15 kilometres from the capital.
This was disclosed by some security sources ,according to Reuters today.

Earlier today, Ex President Goodluck Jonathan met with President Buhari at the state house in the villa for briefing on the current situation. It would be recalled that Ex President Jonathan led a team of ECOWAS Envoy to Mali to resolve the crisis brewing up.

Meanwhile, the United States, France and Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) have all condemned the mutiny.

Hmm
This country is faced with the same security and corruption issue like Nigeria
Now I understand why Buhari has kept these service chiefs irrespective of the calls for their sack
Fear of coup is the beginning of wisdom
