Is Nigeria An Empire? by bigpriik(op): 11:13am On Aug 21, 2020
sometime last year two prominent men from the North especially fulani laid claims to benue , delta and and bayelsa, the other said benue and some parts of the middle belt is part of the sokoto caliphate conquered by uthman Dan fodio, while the other claim ownership of some Niger delta state claiming that bayelsa and delta oil belongs to jigawa people because of they conquered the land from Igbos during the civil war and that anybody that anybody that doesn't play along should first conquer them in war before they can let go..

In other words I think Nigeria is not what people think it is if not why will the North be the ones deciding who they will secede power during elections in a democratic system.literally Nigeria is just like a cage until the South and the middle belt decide enough is enough and break away From this empire which is the bitter truth.

A coward will remain a slave forever..until he is ready to fight for his freedom.

NIGERIA didn't fire a Pin at Britain to get INDEPENDENCE in1960. So it's silly for any mad groups to imagine that they conquered any Tribe is NIGERIA.

Nigeria has always been an empire ever since it was created in 1914. In 1914, Nigeria was part of the British empire. On October 1st 1960, Nigeria changed to become an empire of the Hausa-Fulani caliphate of Sokoto.

“The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Othman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the north as willing tools and the south as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future.” ~ Premier Of The Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12, 1960.

I think when analysis like these are made, Ndigbo should be excluded from any blame of being slaves, lilly-livered and gutless!

Notwithstanding Ziks’ mistake and shortsightedness of placing the interest of ‘one Nigeria’ over and above that of his people...Ndigbo, together with some likeminded ethnicities in the East, tried to rectify the ‘problem’ in 1967/70 with the Aburi accord and bid to be free from the enslaving intentions of the Fulani oligarchy! Even today as we speak, we are still losing lives fighting for our emancipation!

Rather, blame those who are either sitting on the fence or actively supporting and conniving with the northern ‘overlords’....some of which happen to be greedy, house-nigger Igbos as well!
