You better carry your load and leave that house alive.... Abusive spouses don't change. Don't be deceived. You are still coming back to beg people to intervene. Domestic abuse is a cycle, once it starts it usually doesn't stop until one person is dead or until divorce/separation. That's why both men and women should pay attention during courtship...once your partner lifts his/her hand against you to beat you...even once..., you should call it quit. You cannot change an abusive man/woman. They are already cast in iron.
