According to the report, the scenario Obama officials presented to the incoming administration had many similarities to the coronavirus outbreak.

In the hypothetical, the outbreak began in Asia, spread to the US, and exposed significant holes in the healthcare system like a shortage of ventilators and antiviral drugs.

There are many things that might ail both of us, that might kill one but not the other, due to so many factors, not the least underlying conditions.

Even in Nigeria, we've had people recover whilst at the same time, we've had the high and mighty succumb to it (Abba Kyari) for instance.

There is no known cure, but a timely lockdown, social distancing, wide testing to contain infected members of the public, all contribute to reducing the spread as was witnessed in Germany and New Zealand.

The USA under Trump, ignored the science, ignored the experts who predicted the possibility of such a pandemic and 170 thousand people have had to die whilst the economy grinds to a total halt.

President Joe Biden changes all this thankfully.

I've not seen it recorded that Trump was against masks.

However, the challenge of mask acceptance was from the flip flop position from WHO. who claimed that using masks was not necessary .I remember people look at those who put on masks as being foolish.

Later on, WHO said people should put on mask.

But scientifically, prolonged use of mask could lead to respiratory poisoning.

Again scientifically, lockdown is not the best approach. Infact people gain herd immunity when they are not locked up...

Also it's curious to see that all the advocates of the lockup were not against it during. BLM protest. Even Dr Fauci's position was indifference.

So now that the the lockup is eased up, what has happened to the statistics.

Lockdown worked excellently in my country - Canada. It worked excellently in many Asia and European countries as well. It's common sense really. The virus can't travel on it's own. It needs carriers. In Canada which is US closest ally (can't say same till Trump took over). We did not need to sacrifice human lives for herd immunity

No proof so far of herd community working well for covid.
