I cannot really speak about this board, but most Chelsea fans did not want Chilwell. I'm on one or two groups on WhatsApp, and if you're a Twitter regular you'll be able to confirm this.
Telles, Reguilon, Tagliafico and even Alejandro Grimaldo and Robin Gosens were all touted as superior options.

We could make excuse for chiwell that may be it's the team he plays for like blueangel did which is plussible but the stat is real.

A system or players sorounding a certain player sometimes help them. If you take TAA to leceister city for example he might not be able to do much compared to Liverpool where there are deadly attacks to bury all his efforts in the net and the system requires him to move forward more.

I for one don't give shit about stats like I have repeatedly posted here in the past.. Cos sometimes they don't tell the whole story.. That's why you will never see me criticize any Chelsea signing untill I see what they can do when they arrive.

A player that will flop will flop no matter the stat. Torres flopped and the world didn't fall. And players that will flourish with flourish no matter how bad their stats were in previous club.

Defending Chilwell at least still he finishes a season with Chelsea

TAA has played 9 NT games Chilwell 11NT and 200more minutes, Chilwell's attacking stats are far better of the two. Even in the Montenegro game where England scored 7goals, Chilwell assisted three goals.

It's safe to say TAA's 33+ assists in 90+ games is due to playing in a team with a profilic front three and benefits of Kloop's tactics. Chilwell as played 90+ games as well but as only provided one third of that.

Chelsea needs a defensive fullback on the left or one that helps the defense. Chilwell is still bett than TAA defensively
