I already have TV guard and it worked fine when I used it but I'm afraid of burning it cos it's expensive should I get a step down transformer as well?

It has a label with power information, you should be able to determine from there or upload a picture of the label.
The power label specifies voltage

you don’t need a step down for it since you v got a tv guard ... if it were ps4 I would have recommended a ups....my ps3 is 5 yrS plus no tv guard sef let alone step down .. but the first month I used my ps4 without a ups,,the hdd crashed had to get another one ..now I use a ups and everything is fine ....

I already bought it but it doesn't power on the playstation so I left it since TVguard is there, thinking of buying UPS next so nepa won't spoil my thing for me
