Fine art is visual art, it doesn't meet any requirements necessary for a field to be regarded as science.

Observations in fine art are subjected to individual taste, and never to scientific experiments. Just like English, and other core art faculty courses, there are no parts of fine art that yield themselves to scientific experiments. Theories are formulated based on mere observations and personal tastes.

Like I also told the person that i had this discussion with, I'm not a fine art student, neither was the person, so we wouldn't know much. But the lecturers and Professors in their department deemed it necessary to move the department to Environmental science from faculty of Art as in the case of UNIBEN, and it also same in other schools.

So I believe they have good reasons for doing so and I think the reason I gave is one of them because there is really no relationship between French or ISD and fine art.
