Dear livestock farmers.
Which is more profitable and fulfilling- poultry and rabbit farming. Please state valid reasons why you think one is more profitable and sustainable than the other. Also mention if you have done both.
If you say poultry is better please specify if you mean rearing brokers or lawyers etc
If you prefer rabbit farming also state the specific breed.

Poultry is much much better! Poultry is much more profitable! Also with shorter time to get your return. If you are doing broiler, each circle is maximum 2 months. If egg, you start getting returns by 6-7 months. Yes, I know you can sell your rabbits for meat by 3 months or to other farmers at any age. Compare to 2 months for each broiler circle. Poultry products (egg and meat) are also more accpeted in the society. How many people eat rabbit? When was the last time you ate rabbit meat?!when was the last time you ate egg or chicken?

I don't presently have a poultry. In fact, I keep rabbits but for personal consumption.

If you are in the North, farmers will buy it from you. If you keep ruminants that are not being taken out to graze, you can mix the waste with their food. If you are were you can't make use of the waste, their is a machine that remove liquid from poultry waste. This reduces or eliminate the smell
