Former military head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) is currently hosting Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at his Minna residence, the Niger State capital.

Igbere TV reports that Kalu, Chief Whip of the Nigerian Senate and former Governor of Abia State, arrived Minna on Monday for a visit to his political leaders.

OUK, as fondly called by supporters and political associates, arrived the 'power' state at exactly 2pm alongside political friends, associates and aides.

The Senate Chief Whip is currently meeting with Babangida, after which he will proceed to the home of former President of Nigeria and Military General, Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Igbere TV reliably gathered that Senator Kalu is billed to also visit the homes of Governor of Niger state, Abubakar Sani Bello and Emir, Etsu of Lapai, Niger State.

Since 1999 Ibos have always contested Presidential elections and always lost at the primaries and main elections

*Alex Ekwueme Jos 98 PDP convention - lost

*Rochas Okorocha , Orji Kalu 2003 PDP primaries - lost

*Okadigbo ANPP vice president 2003 - lost
*Ume ozoike ANPP vice president 2007-lost
* Peter obi PDP Vice president 2019 - lost.

Some tribes are just bad luck when it comes to politii, evn if you associate with Dem, u will still lost ur election....APC should stay clear from Dem like PDP dat HV zone dia ticket to the north

Orji Uzor Kalu is a member of APC and he's qualified to contest for president. Personally, I welcome his decision to consult widely and explore the possibility of contesting for president in 2023. If he emerges as the candidate of APC, I will fully support him.

In the south west, we welcome as many southerners as possible to declare for the presidency. 2023 belongs to the south and we shall stand solidly by that decision. Yorubas, Igbos, Ijaws, Ikwerre, Ibibio etc should all present candidates to vie for the top job. What we are going to stand against is microzoning.
