A PDP (non-Igbo) winner will be be a victory of sort to them as they will be re-aligned with the centre after just 8years in opposition, while an APC(Igbo candidate) win will bring about their long-sought Ibo presidency
This is the only logical explanation as to why they're more fixated on getting APC ticket while they rarely make mention of getting the PDP ticket. These people always think they have small sense, but a Yoruba man is naturally ahead of you

It is obvious you are ignorant of what transpired in 1999. The ticket was zoned to the South. There was a contest by persons of southern Nigeria and Obasanjo roundly defeated the late Alex Ekweme for obvious reasons.
The AD, being a tribal party as at then presented Olu False and Umaru Shinkaffi of APP (then in an alliance)

There has never been a that presidential tickets are micro zoned. That would be very dangerous.

So in reality every region is 5%.So our 5% plus northern votes=success.
