This is just to draw attension so that DSTV, GOTV and others would come and bribe. Useless Country.

Nothing will come out of it. The naira has depreciated against forex with which DSTV subscribes for content like EPL and BBA. It makes sense that they adjust accordingly to reflect the reality of our economy.
If as an importer of content, I used to by an article for 25 USD before the adjustments, after an adjustment of 20% depreciation of Naira, I must increase my product price accordingly to reflect the new prixe of dollar.

In as much as this kind of investigation is made to look like attempt to protect consumers, if feels like such excessive scrutiny tend to deter new investors that will bring about the needed level of competition that will naturally bring down prices. Nigeria has the market, yet we're stucked with Multichoice. The govt should rather think about ways of attracting new investors.

Waste of time...

These people are not to be trusted because they are sytlishly working for them for kickbacks. They collect free airtime, data and the pay/tv which at the end of day the free royalties are paid back by the ordinary Nigerians. Nigeria has become toys in the hands of the these foreigners because of selling our birthrights to them for No respect, because of bribes they collect from them, that then results to insults. Anyway, I have uninstalled gotv. I thought of putting up my Startimes only to read on paper that Startimes belong to Chinese. Now i please myself by just watching two unclear channel and am happy with them. Lai Mohammed cannot sell us all to make quick and blood money out of greed.

Who has noticed the recent repetitions of programmes on DSTV. No new programmes anymore. They need to investigate this too. Like they are playing pre-recorded programmes to us.

AND
I have 1m subscribers paying 4k per month = 4,000*12*1,000,000 = N48b = $106.7m (at $1 = N450)

To make equivalent of the above or more, I will simply drop my prices to increase my subscription base (2m), it is not rocket science
if my price per month becomes 2k instead of the usual 4k , it becomes:
2,000*12*2,000,000 = N48b = $106.7m (at $1 = N450)

Its simply greed on the part of Multichoice and nothing else. They are fortunate I am not in the decision making position on this issue
