The Federal Government on Tuesday said the African Development Bank should step up its efforts in helping African countries to create jobs for youths across the continent. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/step-up-job-creation-efforts-fg-tells-afdb/%3famp=1 2 Likes

The Federal Government has advised unemployed graduates who are seeking government jobs to look elsewhere, saying there are more sustainable lucrative ventures outside their focus.https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/dont-rely-on-govt-for-jobs-fg-tells-unemployed-graduates/amp/ After promising millions of jobs but ended up giving Nigeria about 15M unemployed population, the clueless government is shifting the responsibility to AfDB.Tax upon tax, foodstuffs are skyrocketing, inflation everywhere, guess the zombies are taking note 31 Likes 2 Shares |

Congratulations to Mr Adesina. Your vindication from abuse of office goes to show that there's hope that we still have sane minds in this country, despite the overwhelming majority who are utterly stupid, tribalist, nepotistic and religious fanatics. You will always be one of Nigeria's best exports. 9 Likes |

Seriously? Isn't it comical and ironic at the same time? When citizens are gainfully employed, the government takes the praise but when there is massive unemplyment, we blame them for relying too much on white collar job and expects the government to provide everything for them even when the government has failed to provide and sustain an environment that drives and rewards creativity and hardwork. Any time a government official tells you to look elsewhere for job, tell him/her to resign his/her position and look elsewhere for job. More than any other agents in the state, it's the government's responsibility to ensure that citizens are well employed either through providing direct employement or promoting agencies, institutions, privates organisations who do that or ensuring that no creativity or entrepreneural effort of the citizens get wasted and maintaining an equitable society that supprts this. Has the Nigerian government done any of this? Then they should spend their time thinking, planning and strategizing instead of talking and blaming people for the woes the government could have prevented. If our soiety is equitable and supportive enough, and people refuse to work, then they can say what they're saying now. 13 Likes |

jabberjawz: Rule 2 to be successful in life : If you throw stones at every dogs that bark at you on the way, you will never get to where you are going!! These kids have nothing reasonable to contribute to a thread, rather they come to derail. Instead of them to lie down Jejely on the mats in their village, CALL DOWN and read comments by sane members, they rather come here to troll! Spits! 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Nonsense and ingredients. They have abdicated their responsibility of job creation to AfDB. The ultra-cluelessness of this regime is alarming. Like I know we may have had leaders without directions in the past, but these guys right now, Mr Buhari and his cohorts, mehn, takes the cake for it. Alas, we can only suffer and scream in silence, rant on social media, engage in tribal, instead of class war, but at the end, the vicious circle of inactions continues, and we are perpetually left to suffer for it. 5 Likes |

As a matter of fact, let her tell AFDB that Nigerians and English speaking African should be employed more in AFDB. Francophone countries have monopolised positions within AFDB to the detriment of English speaking African countries. They usually use knowledge of both French and English language as a precondition to hire staff and consultants. Because of popularity of English, most Anglohphone countries hardly makes effort to learn French while French speaking countries makes great effort to learn English, thus giving them edge of working knowledge of both their native French and english languages. Most French speakers do have some slight knowledge of English but greater percentage of English speakers hardly learn french. I have lost two consultancy positions with AFDB because of my not knowing french language. 80% of staff and consultant in the bank are from French speaking countries and Dr. Akinkumi, the current president of the bank tried to rectified some of these things and they came after him for employing Nigerians. 1 Like |
