Situation report THURSDAY MORNING

DSSC = 15868
SSC. = 5727

An increase of 606 new profile for SSC, which shows a decrease in new profile from that of yesterday, An increase of 1714 for DSSC, which also shows a decrease in new profile from yesterday

The trend of newly created profile is already coming down, with Navy registration coming up next week things might get worse

Best of luck
With the current state of affairs, I doubt if SSC will clock 20k this year.
And some candidates that registered are already saying they won't go for screening again grin

This is for all those who feel the army is an avenue for wearing starched khaki...lol... I had a conservation with my friend today who is in the Air force currently in Maiduguri for jointed operations with the army. I just feel we should all know what we are getting ourselves into.

The fact is except if it’s mouth, most of the guys I know personally that want this army it’s do or die to them.. forget conversations you have with serving officers... I also discuss with them daily... they’ve never for once tried to discourage me... they only just ask me to get ready as the job is tough.. most of us here gingered are close with officers and men..even my uncle that retired as a brigadier has told me point blank that he doesn’t want me in the army because he doesn’t want that life forever me... doesn’t mean the life is bad, it’s just not for everybody... if you get called to screening you’ll meet people that have been trying for 6-7 years there... it’s not because there’s no job outside...THE JOB ISNT FOR EVERYONE. Some of my friends dropped out in uni to go and join the Air Force as recruits when I was in 300... the accommodation they stay is is far better than what some army officers stay in.. I visit them in kaduna anytime I can and they’d always laugh at me and say na “suffer head commission” I Dey chase... but it would never reduce the respect I’d get from them if I get commissioned tomorrow.. The army is the army... it’s not pleasant but it’s the job. So when I meet people that want to join the army without knowing what it fully entails, of course even me, I don’t know what it fully entails but the little I know, I share...

For most it was never about salary... it’s only a mad man that sees death right in front of him and still decides to enlist... God put that fire in some people right from the day he made them... they were created to live the rugged and dirty life to serve a greater purpose... so when people say it’s navy they want to join, all well and good.. go and do your part! Air Force! Make sense... go and do your part... but never discredit the love people have for this job... last screening I met one of my seniors from academy... when we resumed 62, he was already in his 3rd term... how he reduced his age to fall into ssc age range I don’t know... He was withdrawn 1 month to pop on drug charges.. he thought they had finally seen peace not knowing that somebody would snitch on him.. but mans is still trying to enter.. no other life fits them.. no other thing makes sense... it’s the army or nothing for them.. if you were 2nd batch for screening, you’d have heard that some candidates fought some efcc cadets.. it was us.. Cos even me I could take what any body says to me but that my senior couldn’t.. when he was in academy, they were still in primary school.. it was a fight that the rsm cane to break up..

So obviously there’s nobody here that had been following this thread that doesn’t know he’d be in the north for atleast 5-7 years.. my friends from 44 just began to see peace with some of them deployed to Abuja and south west as MPs from armoury..since they left academy... they were on ground there..that was where my friend lieutenant HS Buba paid the supreme price..be it yobe, zamfara, borno, etc... boots will touch.. so na Gods guidance we pray for... or the other one for people that know how to walk..and if person go die, make he sha atleast go heaven...
