The Chilean has unloaded on his former club after securing a permanent move to Italy

Alexis Sanchez has admitted he wanted to leave Manchester United and return to Arsenal after his very first training session with the Red Devils.

The former Barcelona attacker left the Emirates for Old Trafford in January 2018 but struggled to impress across two seasons before being sent to Inter on loan last year.

In Serie A across the 2019-20 campaign, Sanchez showed glimpses of his former self and secured a permanent move to Milan in August.
Reflecting on his time in Manchester via a video posted on his Instagram, the 31-year-old claims he knew very quickly he wasn't going to enjoy his time with the club and hit out at the squad's lack of unity during his time there.

"After the first training session I realised many things, I came home and asked my family and my manager if I could not break the contract and return to Arsenal, something did not fit me, but I had already signed," Sanchez said.

"Months passed and I kept feeling the same. We were not united as a team at that time.

"The journalists also spoke without knowing and it hurt. Former players also spoke and had no idea what was happening inside the club. And they hurt me.

"A player also depends on the internal environment, that we need to be a family. We weren't like that, and it was reflected on the field. If someone had to be blamed, they blamed me.

"I do self-criticism and should have played better. But I was always blamed, even if I played for a few minutes."

Sanchez ultimately made 45 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring just five times and contributing nine assists - statistics that pale in comparison to the 80 goals he struck across 166 games with the Gunners.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently conceded Sanchez simply failed to play to his full potential while at United.

"We wish him all the best and he is a top player who we want to see play his best football," Solskjaer said.

"For whatever reason we didn’t see the best of him here, but he’s a top professional and we wish him all the best."

Former Red Devil Paul Scholes wasn't so kind in his farewell for the Chilean attacker, noting that the club should have arranged an exit sooner.

So the "United in man united" is just a figure head, they aren't united at all.

Thank God Ole was able to rid united of the toxicology of morinho, the signing of sanchez was the final straw... I remember martial playing his best football since LVG scoring 3 games in a row before self-servicer morinho bought the piano man... Herrera also wanted 300k thanks to bastard sanchez... That tall buffon called fellani was even using man utd to do yanga. Good ridance to bad rubbish... Thank you Ole for the New wage structure and attracting players with project and not money.
thank you for not sanctioning dybala (excessive wages), haaland( agent fees, excessive wages, buyout clause), thaigo( excessive wages) and so far sancho( agent fees and excessive wages).
Gone are the days when agent and players milk man united like a fat cow.

Mino Riola made £41m from pogba's deal which is why he went on the january rant when he didn't see mumu woodward in the negotiating room to romance during haaland's negotiation

Thank you for your wonderful analysis. One thing i always look forward to in every front page on NL is the most sensible comment and yours was by far the best. Your comments shows a great understanding of the internal situation at Man utd.

For starters, when the ingrate called Sanchez was signed he was given the biggest wage package in my Man Utd's history. He was given a very pretty straightforward task which was to add spark to the team which he never achieved throughout his stay. Remember we have had great players before he showed his face at Manchester so he was not the first talent to set foot at the club.

From the onset he came with a very bad mentality(Money! Money!! Money!!!). After the first training session, it doesn't matter what he noticed, he had a contractual duty to give his very best and try to improve things in the little way he could; instead he wanted to bail out and return to Arsenal(Coward!!!).
I remember when Bruno Fernandez came, things were not necessarily rosy but he got down to business because he knew why he came and we are all testament to the impact he has succeeded in making(Btw, he also came in January transfer window). Sanchez wanted to be paid so much and do so little. He has to be one of the top 10 most regrettable signings in football history.

PS: which Arsenal was he planning to return to? Is it the same Arsenal he refused to extend his contract with? The same Arsenal that begged him to stay all to no avail. The same Arsenal that he almost tore apart out of his selfish interests. Arsenal only decided to make the deal with Man Utd when they realised that Sanchez was hell-bent on leaving. Is it that same Arsenal?

Thanks for the compliment sir, only that alot of so called nigeria man utd fans are only match watchers and the read the headline of news only. All that apart, Ole himself knows that he has to win trophies cos he has a lot of doubters mainly LUHG guys, uninformed man utd fans, outsiders. His first comment after liecester's match was that united did what they( journalist) said he couldn't achieve (champions league after a poor start). A lot of people still call him a PE teacher and failed cardiff coach which is why he explained and planned with the board on recruitment and way forward. Have you not wondered why united stopped settling for 3rd choice players only VDK was 2nd . James was a stopgap last season for sancho which man utd have been trying to buy since 2017

That's what Ole is trying to avoid with Thiago's wage demands. Man Utd is a football club not a charity centre.
