Kovacic is not the best to play along side Kante, this is why Lampard like to go with two AMFs because we struggle to win when Kante and Kovacic play together. Jorginho is too weak to play based CDM so we need Rice to replace him.

RLC should seat up, there is so much at stake

Barkley is an Attacking midfielder that may be able to play wings, right wing, but we have Havertz and Mount for that. Too bad Barkley hasn't really played a number 10 role for us but Barkley has an amazing talent and ability when in form and fully fit but we have Havertz and Mount. Again Barkley is turning 27 next season which is not a bad age but right now he offers the best value for cash. Meanwhile RLC can play multiple positions in midfield and also wings couple with he is younger. Barkley is going, RLC is staying and it has less to do with their abilities because both na for bench them for they start match.

RLC could even play DM, we also have Gilmour, Ampadu, Christensen can also play DM, holding defensive midfield. I don't see why we need Rice except for CB, which i still prefer getting a star CB like Gimenez. We have too many midfielders and a lot need to be sold first. Our next signing should be a GK and then a CB

It looks like we are slowly sleep-walking into an era of Oliver-Twist things, where everyone wants to bin everything old and want everything new and shiny. The last time was 03-09 before Chelsea fans started to accept that we could no longer sign top class.

Bin RLC, bin Kovacic, Bin Barkley. Buy Rice, Buy Thiago Alcantara. Damn!

This is not how you build teams. The club has done a fantastic job with the targets and final acquisitions. Ziyech, Werner, Chilwell, Thiago, Havertz in a single window is heavenly - stuff of dreams. I will be happy if we didn't sign anyone else. I will gladly play Caballero.

Truth be told, until now, the likes of Gilmour, RLC, Mount, Ampadu, CHO, James, Tomori have only been training alongside very averagely-talented squad members. Training alongside these new high-quality players will cause at least one of these young players to upgrade seriously.

I am not a big fan of Barkley's but that doesn't mean he should be binned. If he wants to move on because of playing time and Euros consideration, then it is what it is. But we all know when it comes to injuries, we need a decent second 11. So all this bin this guy, bin that guy. I don't get it.


The only players that should be heading for the exit are the clearly obvious one - Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Palmieiri, Rahman, Zappacosta, Moses, Van Ginkel (sadly), Kennedy and if possible Jorginho.
