"Data plan Shaming" is a no no.

People can actually have diverse opinion (positive or negative) on a show or a movie and they would be well within their rights to have such opinions, critics on RT or IMDB don't have two heads and some professional ciritics who are been paid can actually be biased (Check Zack Snyder's twitter feed for e.g, Na everyday e dey fight critics).

And Ps..I have seen an equal amount of positive and negative reviews of "Raised by the Wolves" on Reddit, IMDB and RT.

1. I do not take reviews from one source. Majority of the different sources loved the series "Raised By Wolves".

2. Hard fiction is a very infuriating genre. No matter how good a hard science fiction movie/series is, there will always be fools that will hate it because they do not have the patience or intelligence to understand it.

3. Nigeria especially has a lot of the fools mentioned in number 2. Personally, science fiction movies like bladerunner and interstellar had empty seats in Nigerian cinemas

4. There is an intersection with poverty and a lack of taste for high culture and artistic things.

Mulan : 7/10
Not bad, I would be a little bit mad if I saw this in the cinema with my money cause it didn't give that premium feeling I'm looking for.
Overall it's a good watch, not surprised it came from Disney anyways.

I give it a 7. Also wouldn't have liked it in the cinema. But it was a good watch.

Same storyline but mild deviations here and there not just a direct translation like lion king ( I havent watched that one till the end because I've seen it before).

I loved Bori Khan. At the end where he kept sharpening is sword preparing to kill the emperor. Good presentation of his character

Didnt recognise jet li though till the very end.

I'm Thinking Of Ending Things - 6.5/10
Second Charlie Kaufman film I've seen after Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. It was hard to follow at first. I think it's one of those movies you have to watch twice with full attention to fully get but when you get it, you appreciate the movie. It's adapted from a novel (which I have to read now) but the only problem with it was trying to figure out if some of the dialogue was about the characters or just to distract the viewer.
PS: If you do not have patience for dialogue heavy films and films that contemplate themes like mortality, death, loss e. t. c, you might not enjoy this film.

Mulan - 5/10

It's just an average film with humongous plot holes. I know they were trying to make it look original but they missed it in lots of places.

Fools. Fools. Fools.

Fools everywhere.

With each day that passes, I become more and more anti-Nigerians. People can contribute thousands of Dollars to Big Brother Nigeria but can never contribute to make their country better. They did a gofund me for a contestant on BBN!

Where is the gofund me for people who are in need, or people who have been arrested unjustly?

How does this relate to movies? Well, cinemas are not yet open but churches have been open for weeks. When I made this complaint earlier, no one bothered to even reply the comment.

This is a movie thread on nairaland in Nigeria. We should discuss this at least. I weep for this generation. They dont have any energy for useful actions and discussions. So sad.

This is why European countries are ahead of us. They know when to prioritise for themselves and when to do for others. You will never see a British hero languishing in poverty- both the government and citizens will raise funds for them. You will never see a national building or relic be in a state of disrepair. My relatives abroad all received covid-19 relief funds because they are all working citizens. What has the Nigerian government done for us?

We Nigerians only think for ourselves. Selfish desires.

I am a comfortable person that can afford to run abroad and escape Nigeria. But what about others? Must we suffer in silence? Why cant we raise our voices to help those in need?

Too many foolish Nigerians mennn

I don shout tire I have decided to keep mute and watch the sheep's go astray.

Sad reality is majority of Nigerians are idiots, cowards and they even have the right to vote a dumbass leader, and since majority carry the vote, we all got no choice.
Supporting political parties like football clubs while the wolves in human clothing (our politicians) keep going from one political party basket to another.

Suffering and smiling.
I was surprised to see people go out to protest because of a decade old rape case against a popular Nigerian pastor a while ago but they won't go out to protest against police brutality, poor standard of living etc.
We have misplaced priorities in this Country, it's only in Nigeria that I see people jubilating over a newly constructed road that took outrageous billions of naira to construct only for the said project to go back into ruins in a few months.
My cousin died 3 days after a hit and run driver hit her by the side of the road, the general hospital didn't have enough resources to diagnose her properly to find some internal bleedings, by the time they did it was too late. I don't really blame them if not for the poor state of our medical institutions.
Corruption, selfishness, tribalism, nepotism, illiteracy has finish this once great country.
