The greed you are referring to is a system problem. In some countries prices are controlled and that'sthe job of the govt.
And if you talking about global pricing, a lot of money goes into research before a single molecule can be produce.
Lastly it is good for us all to know that whatever path we choosein life it is good to know that there's a dignity in labour. So be it nursing, farming, I.T, teaching, whatever your finds doing, do it well.
Tajbol4splend:

Envy? I'm feeding myself and my family, I have a job of my own, In fact I have a farm of my own, I wonder why I would be envious of other people's source of income, I don't envy it, I just condemn the greed and extortion by you guys

True

But remember the license ain’t yours so the owner would always be the decider lowkey because it is his license on the line
That's where a contract comes in, he doesnt need to be a major partner and the terms of contract can mean that he can be replaced by another pharmacist.

so the partnership is for free?
With the nigerian situation, you can find pharmacists willing to be associated for a fee, so it is just like another job and he is easily replaceable if the contract is done right in a situation where the non-pharmacist holder controls the fund. Being a partner doesnt mean you have 50% share for contributing no fund to the business. Besides, the option of being a partner isnt even readily available for pharmacists, a lot of them will jump at that opportunity.

Depends on the agreement but I guess it can be considered good returns. Also, that option is not readily available for them.

You can choose to go through any university of your choice that offers Nursing, study for 5 years and obtain a BSc degree in Nursing at the end OR

You can go through School/College of Nursing and study for 3years and obtain a Registered Nurse certificate at the end.

Either way, you need 5credits(which includes Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Physics and Biology) in your WAEC or NECO in not more than two sittings and sit for JAMB(as in the case of university) or write an entrance exam (as in the case of Schools/Colleges of Nursing)

Actually, more than you realize. Right now, if you have questions about the data presented on that particular website, kindly direct your questions to them.

Perhaps I should also quickly mention that that information on that page only focuses on hospital pharmacists. Quite a number of pharmacists engaged in the business part make about that amount in ONE DAY. I am sure you will disagree again with that. But that is allowed.

An intern pharmacist in many of those hospitals take between 120k and 140k, and that is before NYSC. You don't have to argue this with me, locate a pharmacist that you can trust his/her words and then ask him/her.

Sir, if not for this COVID break, I would have been a Doctor by now and I'm telling you that even consultants hardly get that salary. The reason why some consultants might be getting that high is because they are also getting salary from the university as lecturers. Mind you, they will also have to be long time consultants.

Or do Pharmacists now earn more than Doctors?

I'm not talking about business, if you like say they make 50 million in one day, that's your business grin

all I can say is that we shouldn't use the excuse of going abroad to deceive the innocent op. she should go for nursing if she loves taking care of people and seeing people recover. she should go for pharmacy if she loves outreach and answering to people's needs on time. i rather be a pharmacist than be a nurse because I will be very sound in drugs. medicine is for the prestige and nothing more. how much do nurses earn when they work with government 120k at most and 300k. If you work for like 20years. what is the need of me studying a course if I can't use it in Nigeria. Nigeria has a lot of brain drain in pharmacy. ineptitude of hospitals in purchasing facilities. I won't advice any pharmacist to work in hospitals. The richest health professionals in the world own pharmaceutical industries and make a lot of dollars. Red Rock can't match that. As a young pharmacist you make money early live a balanced life and not always on calls. how much does an intern doctor earn 120k. at most 150k. before you can make 300k and above, it is either you are a consultant 0or work in a multinational company. This means you must have worked for at least 5 years after internship. now calculate this 7 years course plus internship and at least 5years residency making it 13 years excluding strike some time even fifteen years and what about entering a residency another problem. sorry for drifting go for nursing or for pharmacy. you don't really need residency for pharmacy but you need guidance. There other courses like optometry and dentistry and many more. I know all of these because I have friends in the health sector
Pally stop saying what you don't know,
An intern doctor(house officer) in Ubth as I am typing this to you right now earns 185k, in central hospital Benin an intern doctors earns almost 190k.
A junior resident earns(just starting residency training) earns about 250 to 300k. I am saying this to expunge your false info. Nevertheless the pay is not much as compared to fellow doctors in saner climes

Ermm... sorry, it seems you are quoting me out of context. I was just saying the guy was exaggerating the fees he said pharmacists were getting.

Besides Doctors are among the best paid in Nigeria. Yes the pay can be better, but if you say they are suffering, what will you say about other occupations?
