Physical structures aside, just compare the orderliness, neatness, and lack of agberos loitering about with what you have at Lagos or Abuja airports!

Mombasa is their second largest city after Nairobi. Any pics of the airport there?

Most travelers prefer to go by train to Mombasa. You get a good view of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It's an old tourist city predominantly occupied by Omani Arabs. The trains are superb. PROUDIGBO

Sometimes you begin to wonder if Nigeria is a planet on its own.

Just few days back this shameless adminstration commissioned something looking like an uncompleted soakaway in the East, calling it an airport.

Nigerians love to celebrate mediocrity. Those things we call airports in Nigeria are equivalent of some low grade train stations in China. Nigeria has the money to build state-of-the-art airports in Lagos, Abuja, Enugu...but it wouldn't because our leaders know Nigerians love mediocrity. In my honest opinion, the international airports of Kenya, Ghana, Senegal are much more better, organized than ours. Nigeria should hide its shameless head in the ground.

Big economy that is not reflecting in the lives of the citizens abi

Trust me I have been here, and don't let any modified picture fool you, it's a very much disorganized airport ( I should know because I have worked in one before). First is the issue at the gate where all passengers in a vehicle have to get down and searched before getting back into the vehicle, ( it's so much inconvenient and unncessary especially given the fact that the vehicle itself isn't searched). Then if you can just hold your breath amidst the huge stench of body odours in the terminal you will be lost looking for directions, customers and passenger service is at it's poorest here.... pretty much no difference to the airports we have here, even Lagos airport after renovation might be a bit better than this one.

Kenya is far better than Nigeria in everything apart from political stealing. If you haven't been to Kenya before please don't even argue I have been to Kenya more than 4 times and spent more than 5yrs in Kenya. That country is as small as all Western part of Nigeria but they are farrrr better than Nigeria time 30
