I feel there is growing tension, animosity as I believe we can only thrive as a people if we learn to embrace, love and remain united as a people.

It is very important that Africans & African Americans learn and accept each other's culture and also unlearn all the negative stereotypes and perceptions we have about each other.

Most African Americans are resourceful, resilient, hardworking and very ambitious. The same with Africans although there will always be a tiny percentage to the contrary.

Yes most do. Most African Americans do hate most of black Africans. Was discussing with one when we got off from work one day and I told him u are an African. He jumped on it and said, hey mehn, I'm an American, I'm nt African..., I let him be.

How is he African? He's American.

It's just like telling a white American that he or she is European.

White Americans identify very strongly with their heritage, most common ones being Irish and Italian. Even when they separate themselves from Europeans, they always identify culturally/ethnically as whatever European is in their lineage.

Frankly, black Americans are just anti-black. Obviously, not all of them think this way, but the simple fact is that a large segment of them identifies with whites more than other black people. And they're very hostile to foreign black people, as if foreign black people are responsible for their plight. ¯\_( ツ)_/¯

You are very correct it's very sad. How can the black race grow and overcome when there is just too much hatred for each other.

But the same can't be said for black Americans.

But the same can't be said for black Americans.

You apparently haven't met many, or any, white Americans, especially Italians. Maybe when they're abroad, they present as just American idk, but in America, they are very identified with ethnicity. They talk about it a lot in reference to their personality, physical features, and etc. It's very common for them to mention these things without being pressed. And in certain regions, they have a lot of ethnic pride. They wear things indicative of their culture and have flags everywhere.

Also, they discriminate against certain white ethnicities, mainly eastern Europeans and southern Europeans, who they consider fake whites. And these aren't recent immigrants. lol In some places, discrimination is stronger than others. But it's very telling how many white Americans falsely claim German ethnicity/ancestry.

Ah! They do o. I have seen many. Italians and Irish are the proudest. It's even like a privilege to be Irish American. The Kennedys really elevated that. Hardly any prosperous Irish American who have not gone back to Ireland to search for their roots. I have met many on that quest too.

Even Obama went to look for his Irish roots.

They are even applying for Irish passports if they have an Irish grandparent, especially if their birth was already registered with Irish authorities abroad.
