In as much as the government has it part to play. However,it is the social responsibility of those stars also to give back to the society that produce them. In the case of AJ, apart from Daddy Showky and few others, most of those stars that came out of the area are even ashamed to be identify with the location. 4 Likes |

RuudVanNisteroy: Even though with that in mind the individual stars have their own part to play. Sinking of boreholes, periodical medical outreaches, Recreational and rehabilitation facilities, skill acquisition centers,Human capacity development etc shouldn't be too much to ask of them. 2 Likes |

RuudVanNisteroy: You are not asking for dire help you are scoring a cheap political score with genuine plights of residents of Ajegunle and throwing in the bullion van gave you away If Lagos State Government take over slums like Makoko and Ajegunle for "Bullion van" renovation. Same you would open multiple threads on how Tinubu's plan is to evict poor Lagosians from their homes |

RuudVanNisteroy: So why bother us here with it if not for politics? All President, Vice President , Supreme court Judge and members of the National Council of State has such jumbo benefits too The law is very simple a former President or Governor has access to state resources for 8 years and can loot us dry or bankrupt us like PDP'S P&ID, or Jonathan's Malibu oil scam... But if you give them pension and a plan b, many won't consider looting . . 1 Like |

solmusdesigns: That has proven to be a lie in all states, the Governors still looted their states dry. You can't make pension provision in the poverty capital of the world, that is more generous than advanced nations like USA,Germany and Netherlands. Only strong institutions can prevent stealing and not multi-billion naira pensions. 2 Likes |

solmusdesigns: Look at the state of Ajegunle. And you have no issue with each Governor costing the state billions of naira, didn't they all claim they came to serve and were already "wealthy and successful businessmen" before they came to office. Which Governor in United States enjoy multi-million dollar pensions pensions that provides 6 new cars every three years and two houses in the most expensive cities in the country? 2 Likes |
Re: Ajegunle,Lagos: The City That Produced Many Notable Stars Lies In Ruin by solmusdesigns: 5:04am On Sep 12, 2020 |
RuudVanNisteroy: That is because US Governors would rather hide their own loot as Campaign funds and Charity donations from Big Companies , with lobby groups keeping their stash in offshore account as revealed by the Panama papers We all saw Trump's lobbyists collect over a million dollars from PDP's Atiku and Osita for him to get a waiver for visa ban So stop acting as if US Politicians are saints |
