Its a different hospital though it was built in the land..

Nnamdi Azikiwe University teaching hospital have not moved to thr permanent site. They have no plans to do so in the near future

NAUTH has already moved and has been operating from the permanent site since 2019. It is also at the permanent site that they gave Ifeanyi a portion of land to build the structure. They equally gave ifeanyi another portion of land in UNIZIK Awka where he built a bigger structure(upstairs)

ONITSHA – Medical services will soon begin at the permanent site of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, Anambra State, to decongest the temporary site, which the hospital has outgrown over the years, according to the management.

Chief Medical Director of the NAUTH, Prof. Anthony Igwegbe, declared this on Wednesday while speaking with journalists. He said the hospital had outgrown its temporary site in terms of manpower and services it provided.

Professor Igwegbe said construction was ongoing at the permanent site located between Nnewi and Oraifite communities. He expressed optimism that very soon, partial movement would commence and some clinics would be relocated to the new site, including the out-patients’ department.

“This is the first phase of our movement that we hope to accomplish soon. We can’t move everybody at the same time. We have been doing something to move, though slowly because of funds, it has been progressive over the years. We have begun to see the end of the tunnel,” he said.

the university teaching hospital is completed...just dat the progressive hospital was built on a site maped out for another campus of the university ....which the university is yet to develop
