Apparently, mumble rap is a new kind of genre of hip hop where rappers literally mumble, use made up words or too much ad-libs and repitions of words.
The groups of rappers that fall into cant make music without rapping about latest designer 'drip', hoes, and all the imaginery money and cars they claim they have.
Here is a short list of mumble rappers;
1. Lil pump
2. Tekashi 6ix9ne
3. Young thug
4. Travis scott(if there's ever a good mumble rapper then this guy would be number 1)
5. Young dolph
6. Lil yatchy
7. Migos
8. Future (this man is a top top tier mumble rapper)
9. Post malone (this guy doesnt use clever word play or metaphors, he just sings)
10. Tory lanez (not sure if he is a rapper or a pop star)
11. Cardi b (she falls under the genre of 'dirty rap')
12. Basically any rapper with 'lil' in his name.
for some reason, mumble rap is what people want to listence to these days, hence the reason why god awful songs like 'gucci gang' or 'WAP' have more than 500M Views on youtube.

remove lil Wayne from that list. He is one of the reasons we have all the nonsense mumble rap. It was after lil Wayne 2chains came and mumble rap blew out of proportion

But have you heard tracks like Glory, No Love ft. Eminem, A Milli, etc.
Wayne is like the king of mixtapes though. That's where most of his prowess lies.
