It is also cheap to tell just anybody, who might care to listen, how your new business plan or your multi-dollar idea could revolutionize a particular sector, without thinking twice.

You might not even realise that you are parting with the generational wealth God has placed in your heart as the waymaker and pacesetter in your family.

There is no gainsaying that everything you see around you, even the multi-billion dollar companies of the world, and the planes that flies in the sky, once began with a simple idea.

I still recall vavidly how I bought my first ever standard company in 2006. It was a registered business name that was doing very well, until the owner graduated and decided to return back to the city.

I was with my three egbons that particular evening. The younger two egbons, religiously visited the older egbon, who was a recharge card seller, in the cool of the evening, and the topic ranged from women, universisi wahala, politics, business and life after graduation.

While some had a clear plan of what they wanted to do with their life in some aspect, no one had it fully figured out. That particular evening, It all started with women, and how their loyalty or disloyalty has made or marred their sense of belonging.

But before you could say jack, they started discussing business. That was when it occured to me that there is abundance of wealth and opportunities, if I knew what to do.

I was in a student enviroment, and all I needed to do was to pray God for an idea on how to statisfy a cheap luxurious want within my immediate enviroment.

That was what I learnt from the elucidation of Mr. E. I guess that was the subject f discourse in school that day. But this struck a cord inna mi heart, and I had no choice than to follow through. The rest they say, is a story for another day.
I often wonder what I would have paid for that idea, if he knew the worth, and decided to monetize it?

I guess I would have given him a hefty sum or perhaps, a part of the company if he had so pushed for it.

This is one major problem I have found amongst blackmen. We do not seem to understand the value of our intellectual property.

But I am grateful that there is a gradual awakening and we are begining to do the right thing. I learnt the Honnorable Minister for Digital Economy said the budget of 2021 will be driven by the digital world.

It is an exceptional idea, but like dem dey talk for my village say sit down look, na dog name.

So, make we sit down see how e go do am. But if e fit do am, e go make sense scatter.
