Four killed in Anambra communal clash

About Four people have allegedly lost their lives in a communal clash between Odekpe and Alanonugwa Communities in Anambra West local government area of Anambra state.

According to an eye witness, the clash was caused by an age long boundary dispute between the two communities that make up an area called Olumbanasaa.

Radio Nigeria correspondent reports that Olumbanasaa literally means Voice of Seven Communities.

Olumbanasaa is noted for its oneness and unity of purpose as the seven communities are all agrarian and live in an island as they share boundaries with Delta, Kogi , Enugu among other states.

Odumogwo, Igbokenyi, Odekpe, Onugwa, Igbedo, Ode, and Alanonugwa, are the towns that came together to inhabit the waterlogged area .

Sadly however two of the communities Odekpe and Alanonugwa had been in dispute and had clashed several times over boundary farmlands.

The traditional ruler of Kingdom, Olumbanasaa , Igwe Pius Omachonu told newsmen that the fresh clash started when some people from one of the warring communities went fishing in a pond located within the boundary .

The question is, how is the southern Kaduna killings El Rufai's fault? I have been hearing of killings in southern Kaduna right from IBB days as head of state. So why single out El Rufai? Some talk of El Rufai paying Fulani militia to stop killing, but if they have done their homework, they would have found out that that agreement was made when Kaduna had a Christian Governor (Gov. Yakowa)
