Liverpool have signed Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich in a deal that could rise to £25m.


Liverpool will pay £20m for the Spain international, with the potential for a further £5m in add-ons, and the midfielder will wear the No 6 jersey.


Thiago arrived in the UK on Friday morning, flying in to Manchester from Munich to complete a medical and finalise the deal.


The 29-year-old helped Bayern win the treble last season, as they beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final last month in Lisbon.


The new signing could make his debut in the League Cup against Lincoln on Thursday evening.

nice one...jus want to also get busy in the market because they dnt really need this current thiago...klop dnt av any business with midfielders, he just need a good defender to pair van dijk and a sharp winger to give sallah and mane some rest because Liverpool would suffer if sallah or mane gets injured...dts d edge pep av over klop..

I'm not understating his importance. But Firmino is too relaxed jare besides we're been using the trio of Salah, Mane,Firmino for almost every match for more than 3years now.

yes but i think firminho do plays an assisting role in dt attack and not more about goal scoring but i think going by what you said, its sallah and mane dt need a big name as replacement dt would be assured enough game time, not any kinda signing like shaqiri or mimiano dt would be happy collecting wages to sit on d bench..
