I saw that Kidd's video with AY... Guy is really connected... He looked at ease with those guys. It seems like he also knows Davido personally. I was also happy for Prince... however, his IG followers are not increasing on par.

As for Erica, I totally understand what you mean by banking on people's expectations. I just hope her management gets their calculations right. Might be best for her to come out with news of a movie deal or an ambassadorial role. In anycase, inertia on her account for too long might not be so good.

They make their money mainly from sponsorship and Sub.

Most of the votes are done only and via the app and especially this year's edition.

From the ₦30 per sms, the network operators gets a share, while MNET get theirs as well.

See the target Erica's fans are aiming at $100,000. This is about ₦43,000,000.00

I doubt if actual voters would have spent that much to keep her in the house. Most of the $40,000 she's garnered so far are based on pity. Hence, if she's still in the house, she would not be close.

Here's the thing

MNET said this edition cost them ₦3.5billion
Let's assume all voters and supporters of the 20 housemates contributes $40,000 each for voting (which is very impossible) MNET would have generated $40,000*20= $800,000. Let's convert to Naira.

$800,000*₦450= ₦360,000,000 that's about 10% of the cost of hosting the show.

Their money is made through subscription all over Sub Saharan Africa and adverts from IVM, Betway, Guinness, Revolution Plus, Natnudo, Poundo Potatoe,etc

Losing SMS votes can't affect MNET in anyway and they can kick out any housemate at anytime, even Laycon too.
