How do I correct this speaker issue permanently?

Hold Ur power button for about 20secs till Ur phone restarts, if it still doesn't work, u might need to change your speaker..

I had the same problem recently bro. Just tap the ear piece area a bit harder with your hand until it works

Yes. Ear piece works perfectly.

Mine's working currently, i didn't do anything really. I just noticed it started working again

Yes. This is the second time it is happening. The first time was a few days after I got the phone, I was about returning it to jumia pick up station and decided to get it fully charged, And all of a sudden it started working.
Today while charging, there was power outage and the speaker went silent again.

Have you tried tapping? If tapping works, it sound like a loose connection.......

Possibly a bug......... Head over to Umidigi community and see if similar sound errors are happening......

If it can be replicated, Umidigi is inclined to providing a patch...........

I opened my A5pro with a razor, my thumb nails and thick folded flat paper. It's just gum that is holding the glass and becareful of the fingerprint sensor if you've never opened a phone before or better still give an engineer to open it.

Before you open, read if it's a common issue.......

If you know your way around, go digging.......... Heat gun is all you require + pry + release clamp...........
