Dude, Akwa Ibom had to build infrastructure from scratch when it was created in 1986 about three decades ago.
Lagos has been the center of this contraption we all term "Nigeria" since the pre-colonial era.

30 years on, Akwa Ibom has gone on to be the fastest developing state in the country.

Akwa Ibom is top in security, ease of doing business and barely taxes its residents (tenement rates, land use fees and many more are deliberately not enforced by the government asides the most basic of taxes for businesses). Everything Akwa Ibom is known for today (the development and more) had to be built from scratch in 30 years.

Akwa Ibom has a blueprint all governors must follow (and have followed) beginning in 1999. Akwa Ibom is better than it was in 1999.
Still the only state with its own independent power project, generating electricity and distributing to neighbouring states: Opobo in Rivers State and Azumire in Abia State. The power generated is fed into the national grid. Since as far back as 2005.
Still the only state with its own functional airline.
Even during Godswill Akpabio's adminstration, Akwa Ibom was repairing federal roads.
Ask yourself why Akwa Ibom ranks top three in terms of good road networks in Nigeria?

Why is Tinubu up in arms and has been blocking the Ibaka Deep Seaport in Akwa Ibom State? Scared the development in the South South and South East would trump Lagos'?

Lagos stste was never Nigeria’s FCT. Lagos Island was FCT and not Lagos state. It’s such a shame most of you Lagos haters don’t even know the difference.
